Andrew K. Sandman
Former Wake County Asst District Attorney
Andrew Sandman has lived in Raleigh all of his life. Upon graduating from Ravenscroft in 1986, he attended North Carolina State University. In 1990, Andrew graduated from NCSU with a B.A. in Business Management.
Immediately after college, Andrew was accepted to The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. While at Campbell, Andrew started an internship with the Wake County District Attorney's Office and worked there during both his second and third years of law school. Also, he was selected by the faculty to be a member of the Trial Team and had the honor of receiving the Order of Old Kivett.
While still in law school, Andrew was offered a position with the Wake County District Attorney's office upon graduation. And in 1993, that is where he started his criminal law career. Andrew worked in this position for almost three years. During his time there, he prosecuted thousands of different criminal matters such as drugs, assaults, domestic violence, probation violations, and DWI's. Andrew was also the Chief Prosecutor for all of the misdemeanor courtrooms for Wake County.
In 1995, Andrew decided to leave the DA's office and begin his own criminal defense firm. Ten years later, he and Bill Finn became law partners and have now welcomed Trey Fitzhugh into the partnership as well.
